As of March 2 of this year, according to information announced at a press conference by the director of the consular department, Seitak Jumakadyrov, about 22,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are in the Middle East, with the majority in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Currently, there is no information about casualties or those who have been left homeless among the citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

“Our consular staff and members of the operational headquarters are doing everything possible to support our compatriots,” he noted.

Seitak Jumakadyrov also reported that about 6,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are in Saudi Arabia, mostly pilgrims who came for Umrah. Approximately 10,000 of our compatriots are in the UAE, of which about a thousand people have already faced the expiration of their tourist visas.

“Particular difficulties are observed in Dubai and Qatar. We have developed alternative routes and corresponding action plans,” he added.

On February 28, an attack by Israel and the USA on Iran began, which included a series of air and missile strikes on various cities and military facilities. In response, Tehran attacked Israel and American military bases in several countries in the region. Shortly after the operation, named "Epic Fury," began, US President Donald Trump made a statement.
It was also reported that the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, along with several high-ranking officials in Tehran.

The conflict in the Middle East continues to escalate, with strikes on targets from both sides ongoing. Thousands of people have found themselves in a difficult situation due to the closed airspace in the conflict zone.
