This visit was organized at the invitation of the company and the investor, the Chinese Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Corporation, to familiarize themselves with the process of major repairs and upgrades of the plant.
This modernization project, designed to process 800,000 tons of oil per year, is one of the largest investment initiatives being implemented in Kyrgyzstan. It is being carried out under an agreement signed between the National Investment Agency and LLC "Central Asian Energy Company," and also includes an additional agreement under which the total investment volume will increase to $193.75 million, with the project completion scheduled for July 31 of this year.
Participants of the visit were acquainted with the stages of construction and installation works, as well as the readiness level of production capacities.
Representatives of government structures emphasized the importance of this project for the industrial progress of the region, increasing the depth of oil processing, creating new jobs, and strengthening the energy security of the country.
