The new season of the Kyrgyzstan Premier League officially kicked off in Bishkek, where the first matches took place at the National Academy of Football of the KFS.
The opening match featured Bishkek's "Ilbirs" against Osh's "Alaï," which ended in a 1:1 draw. The home team took the lead in the 1st minute when Ukrainian midfielder Taras Hevlich scored after a swift attack. However, in the second half, on the 66th minute, Uzbek forward Doniyor Ismailov managed to equalize, finishing off a cross from the flank. The best player of this match was recognized as Andrey Levkovets from "Ilbirs." The match was officiated by Erlanbek Osmonov.
The next match between "Neftchi" from Kochkor-Ata and "Uzgen" ended in a defeat for the hosts with a score of 1:2. Akram Umarov opened the scoring in the 60th minute with an impressive volley from a corner. "Uzgen" quickly leveled the score: Mikhail Titov, a forward for the Turkmenistan national team, equalized in the 66th minute, and Orkhan Aliyev set the final score in the 69th minute, converting a one-on-one opportunity. The main referee of this match was Sanjar Zhakypbekov.
The Karakol "Bars" continues to be the reigning champion of the country, and among the best teams from last season were also "Muras United," "Abdysh-Ata," "Dordoi," and "Alaï."
In the new 2026 season, the Premier League features 16 teams, including newcomers "Asia" from Talas and "Toktogul."
