On March 1, in Bishkek, at the stadium of the National Academy of Football of the Kyrgyz Football Union, the first round match of the Higher League took place, where "Özgön" faced "Neftchi" from Kochkor-Ata.
The first half ended without goals, but in the second half, the teams scored three goals in a short span of time.
In the 60th minute of the match, "Neftchi" opened the scoring; however, "Özgön" not only equalized the score but also snatched victory by scoring twice in just 3 minutes and 27 seconds.
In another season-opening match between "Ilbirs" and "Alai," which also took place at this stadium, a draw was recorded — 1:1.
The first round of the Higher League will continue on March 2 with two matches taking place in Kant and Bishkek.
