According to residents, the excavation was flooded due to damage, and part of the microdistrict was left without access to drinking water. In addition, they claim that construction is being carried out without the necessary permits.

“It is unknown on what basis they are conducting the work, there is not even a construction passport,” local residents emphasize in their appeals.

Response from "Bishkekvodokanal"

Representatives of the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkekvodokanal" commented on the incident, noting that the damage occurred during the construction of an additional building for secondary school No. 72.

“Failure to observe the minimum distance during earthworks led to soil collapse, which, in turn, caused the collapse of a 250 mm diameter pipeline,” the organization reported.

Immediately after receiving information about the incident, an emergency team was dispatched to the site to assess the situation and take measures to localize the problem.

“To prevent further leakage, the pipeline was shut off from both sides. This line will be relocated by OsOO "Goha Group," as it falls within the construction zone,” they added at "Bishkekvodokanal".

The organization assured that the supply of drinking water is uninterrupted, thanks to the looped water supply system.

For its part, the Ministry of Construction reported that on March 1, an incident occurred in "Jale" during earthworks related to the construction of a new building for secondary school No. 72, resulting in damage to a section of the water pipeline.

In this regard, the relevant services were called, and restoration work began. Currently, the work to eliminate the malfunction is in the final stages.

“It should be noted that such situations can arise during earthworks. It is also necessary to consider the wear and tear of engineering networks in this area. We maintain constant oversight of construction work and compliance with safety standards, as well as monitor the provision of drinking water to residents,” the ministry emphasized.

We remind you that construction of a new educational building for secondary school No. 72, with a capacity of 750 places, is underway in this area, with work starting in January of this year.
