A press tour organized for journalists, bloggers, fish farmers, and active citizens took place today, February 28, at the new fish feed production factory of "Tian-Shan Trout" LLC, located in the Panfilov district of the Chuy region. Participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the production process and learn more about the factory's activities.
The construction of the enterprise began in May 2025, with a total investment of 7 million US dollars, of which 5 million was obtained as a preferential loan from a state bank.
The factory has production capacities allowing for the output of 100 to 120 tons of feed per day; however, it currently operates at a level of 30–40 tons per day. The product range includes 12 types of fish feed, focusing on trout products, and utilizes technology borrowed from Iran.
The price of one kilogram of fish feed is 200 soms, while feed for fry may cost slightly more. Imported feeds range from 175 to 250 soms depending on their quality.
The complex of "Tian-Shan Trout" LLC occupies an area of about 7 hectares in the Panfilov district and will provide 100 to 120 permanent jobs when operating at full capacity.
The founder of the company, Ilgiz Shamenov, noted that despite the initial stage of development of domestic fish feed production, there are already attempts to discredit the product without an objective assessment of its quality. According to him, such actions come from competitors who import feed from abroad.
Shamenov also added that if the quality of the feed does not meet standards and leads to losses for fish farmers, the company is ready to compensate for the damage.
“We guarantee double compensation if, due to the quality of our feed, fish die or farmers incur losses. If, as rumors suggest, fish raised on our feed do not reach market weight, we are ready to compensate the difference. All of this is just slander,” emphasized Shamenov.
