A new fish feed production plant under the brand of OsOO “Tian-Shan Trout” has opened in the Panfilov district of Chui region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
Construction work on the facility began in May 2025, and the total investment in the project amounted to 7 million dollars. Of this amount, 5 million dollars were provided as a subsidized loan from a state bank.
The production capacity of the plant allows for the production of 100 to 120 tons of feed daily; however, it currently operates at a level of 30-40 tons, offering 12 different types of feed, with an emphasis on trout products created using Iranian technologies.
The founder of the company, Ilgiz Shamenov, expressed concern about a campaign to discredit the products, which he believes is organized by competitors importing feed from abroad.
“If the quality of our feed leads to fish deaths or losses for farmers, we are ready to pay compensation in double amount,”

“We are ready to compensate the difference if, as the rumors claim, the fish does not gain market weight. All this is nothing but slander,” he added.
The price of one kilogram of fish feed is 200 soms, while the feed for fry costs a bit more. In comparison, the cost of imported analogs ranges from 175 to 250 soms per kilogram.
The plant complex is located on a site of about 7 hectares. Once it reaches full capacity, the plant will create 100 to 120 permanent jobs.
