Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses from the city participated in the event.
The main goal of the meeting was to familiarize entrepreneurs with the content of the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic dated January 28, 2026, No. 18, and to ensure compliance with its requirements. According to the Decree, until December 31, 2026, a temporary ban (moratorium) on conducting unscheduled tax audits concerning business entities operating in accordance with established rules has been introduced in the prescribed manner.
During the event, the prosecutor of the city of Balakchy detailed the goals of the Decree, its main requirements, and the benefits for entrepreneurs. He explained that the moratorium was adopted to protect the rights of entrepreneurs and reduce obstacles to their activities.
In addition, the senior assistant to the prosecutor of the city of Balakchy clarified the procedure for implementing the rules provided for in the Decree, legal mechanisms, and what steps entrepreneurs need to be aware of using understandable examples.
Practical explanations were also provided regarding the timelines for tax audits, the formation of plans, and mechanisms for supporting entrepreneurs during the moratorium period.
During the meeting, many representatives of the business community asked questions of interest to them and received appropriate answers. In particular, questions were raised about what audits could be conducted during the moratorium, about interaction and accounting in tax authorities, as well as how the rights of entrepreneurs would be protected.
