Bishkek City Hall has recommended apartment owners to purchase the necessary parts for new elevators
According to the Housing Code, property owners must independently acquire components for the installation of new elevators. This information was provided by the Bishkek City Hall.
Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastan Bekeshev published a response from Vice Mayor Ramiz Aliyev.
“The cable that supplies power to the elevator equipment from the input distribution device to the machine room is part of the internal electrical system and is common property of the residents. The municipal enterprise 'Bishkekgorlift' is responsible for the technical maintenance and operation of elevators within the framework of the concluded agreements. Internal electrical networks are not included in the service area of this enterprise unless otherwise specified in the contract,” the response stated.
The city hall emphasizes that replacing the cable if it does not meet the established standards for power and load is necessary to ensure the safe and uninterrupted operation of elevators.
It is worth noting that in 2026, 'Bishkekgorlift' plans to replace 100 elevators.
