At the republican meeting on February 27, the president noted that the State Investment Corporation (GIK) is demonstrating unprecedented results: 4,600 families have already received keys to their apartments, which accounts for half of the total number over the past four years.

According to him, the majority of housing construction is concentrated in Bishkek and the Chui region, but work is also being carried out in the Osh, Jalal-Abad, Talas, Issyk-Kul, and Batken regions. The budget funds allocated to GIK are evenly distributed between the northern and southern regions. Last year, $400 million was allocated for these purposes — $200 million for each part of the country. This year, this amount will also be $400 million. By the end of 2026, about 20,000 families will be able to become owners of new apartments," the head of state added.
