A working commission engaged in monitoring the activities of the municipal enterprise "Bishkek Funeral Services Agency" conducted inspections at several cemeteries in the capital and discovered violations. As a result, it was decided to carry out a complete inventory of burial sites at the southwestern cemetery.

According to the press service of the mayor's office, the inspection involved Deputy Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva, as well as deputies of the Bishkek City Council — Talaybek Daiyrbekov and Zhanibek Asanbekov.
The southwestern cemetery became the first object of inspection. Since January 1, 2021, burials have been prohibited there based on the conclusions of relevant state services.
During the inspection, the commission identified numerous deficiencies related to the maintenance of the territory, accounting for burials, and the organization of economic activities.

The municipal enterprise was instructed to conduct a complete inventory of burial sites and present proposals for improving the condition of the territory in accordance with established standards.

The commission also visited the cemetery near the village of Orto-Sai, which was transferred to the city's jurisdiction as a result of the administrative-territorial reform, and the Muslim cemetery in the residential area "Kok-Zhar." The management of the enterprise was instructed to strengthen control over land use and improve infrastructure, as well as ensure compliance with the rules for maintaining the territories.

The purpose of the inspections is to analyze the activities of the enterprise, monitor compliance with legislation, and improve the quality of funeral services. The work of the commission continues.
