The first place visited by the commission was the Southwest Cemetery. Since January 1, 2021, this cemetery has not accepted new burials, as established by the conclusions of various state inspections.
During the inspection, deficiencies were identified in the maintenance of cemeteries, accounting for burials, and organization of work. The municipal enterprise "Bishkek Funeral Services Agency" was instructed to conduct a complete inventory of burials and present proposals for improving the condition of the territory in accordance with established standards.
The next site of inspection was the cemetery located near the village of Orto-Sai, which is now under the city's jurisdiction, as well as the Muslim cemetery in the Kok-Jar area. The municipal enterprise "BARU" was tasked with establishing proper control over land use, improving infrastructure, and ensuring accessibility of the territories.
The purpose of the inspection is a comprehensive and objective analysis of the work of the municipal enterprise, compliance with legal requirements, improving the quality of services, and assessing the effectiveness of resource use and municipal property, as reported by the Bishkek city administration.
It should be noted that the work of the commission and the inspections of cemeteries will continue in the future.
