According to the protocol signed on August 22, 2025, between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, this checkpoint will now operate around the clock and will become an international one.
The head of the State Border Service emphasized that such changes are aimed at improving the conditions for crossing the border, which will contribute to an increase in cargo and passenger traffic, as well as attracting foreign tourists and developing infrastructure.
The deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh supported the ratification of this protocol.
