Great responsibility, small salary. Expert on the shortage of deputy principals in schools
In her opinion, it is necessary to raise the level of educational work in the country's educational institutions. "Unfortunately, the position of deputy principal for educational work does not bring significant income. This is an extremely important and responsible job, and as a result, this service is experiencing difficulties. I observe that in some schools the work is organized at a high level, where the administration and teachers act cohesively, while in others there are no deputy principals, and raising children becomes problematic," Baktygul Jumakulova explains.
The expert emphasized that the lack of teamwork in education leads to inappropriate behavior among students. "In successful schools, there are codes for teachers and students. When a child reads and signs this document, they understand what actions can be considered violations. This helps them think before taking any actions," she added.
It is worth reminding that on February 16, an incident occurred at school No. 83 involving a student and a teacher, which led to the use of physical force. In this regard, a criminal case has been initiated.
In response to such incidents, Kyrgyzstan plans to tighten administrative responsibility for disrespecting teachers and interfering in their work. Currently, a warning or a fine of 10 calculation indicators (1,000 soms) is provided, but it is proposed to increase this to 50 calculation indicators (5,000 soms).
Additionally, parental responsibility will also be strengthened. If a violation is committed by a child under 16 years old, currently only a warning is provided, but it is proposed to introduce a fine of 100 calculation indicators (10,000 soms) or a warning.
