At the meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh dedicated to issues of industry and energy, Energy Minister Talaybek Ibraev reported a significant saving of 40 tons of paper after the transition to digital receipts.

The minister noted that digitalization in the energy sector is already yielding positive results.

“Previously, we sent paper bills for electricity payment to subscribers, but now everything is done through the 'My Light' app. This has significantly reduced paper consumption. Additionally, as a result of the installation of smart meters in 2022-2023, the number of inspectors was reduced by 416 people, resulting in savings of 290 million soms,” Ibraev added.
