The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) has denied rumors about the existence of nicknames for its employees. An official statement was made by the press center of the agency.
“In connection with the emergence of video materials and publications in the media regarding allegedly existing unofficial nicknames of GKNB employees, we inform the following:
In our work, only official titles and positions provided for by law are used. Claims about nicknames and informal designations are false and have nothing to do with the personnel practices of our committee. These names arise outside the framework of official communication and do not reflect the position of the GKNB,” the agency stated.
According to available data, a fabricated video with fictional nicknames and distorted information has been launched into the information space. These materials are being disseminated by interested parties with the aim of creating a false public opinion about the activities of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The committee strictly adheres to the laws, following the principles of official discipline and professional ethics. We urge journalists and social media users to base their opinions on official sources and refrain from spreading unverified information that may harm the reputation of government agencies,” the GKNB statement emphasizes.
