A significant ceremony took place in Bishkek, where new specialized equipment was handed over to the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Urmatbek Shamyrkanov, the head of the agency, informed the Kabar agency that the equipment includes excavators, loaders, and trucks that will be the first to be used in emergencies.
The ceremony was held at the Turdakun Usubaliev Square, where the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, handed over the keys to the equipment to the Minister of Emergency Situations.
Shamyrkanov emphasized that the mountainous terrain of Kyrgyzstan predisposes the country to various emergencies in different regions, making the availability of such equipment critically important.
“The Ministry of Emergency Situations has received 116 units of special equipment purchased using budget funds and with the support of the World Bank. This includes excavators, loaders, and trucks that will be the first to be deployed in emergencies,” he added.
He also mentioned the transfer of tractors for the needs of the forestry service and specialized equipment for strengthening riverbanks using reinforced concrete structures.Additionally, the minister reported that 20 JAC vehicles were handed over to enhance operational efficiency.
“There are 40 districts in the country, and only 20 of them had the necessary operational vehicles. We will transfer 20 new JAC cars to these districts to ensure rapid response,” concluded Shamyrkanov.
