The Ministry of Emergency Situations received 116 units of special equipment

A solemn ceremony was held at the Turdakun Usubaliev Square in Bishkek, where the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, handed over the keys to 116 units of new special equipment to the Ministry of Emergency Situations. This event was timed to coincide with the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day, the government press service reported.

In his speech, Kasymaliev congratulated the rescuers on the holiday and emphasized the importance of the government's systematic work to improve the material and technical base of the agency.
Over the past five years, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has received 652 units of vehicles, costing 7 billion soms.
The arrival of the new 116 vehicles is a significant step in modernizing the ministry's fleet and one of the largest stages of renewal in the years of independence.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasized that the funding for the agency is being provided in full. In 2025, the budget for the Ministry of Emergency Situations will exceed 5.5 billion soms. Additional funds will be allocated for emergency recovery work, infrastructure development, support for border areas, as well as the construction of meteorological stations and bridges.



During his speech, Adylbek Kasymaliev paid special attention to the issues of emergency situation prevention and the necessity of explanatory work with the population in areas prone to mudslides, landslides, and earthquakes.

He also highly praised the professionalism of Kyrgyz rescuers, who successfully tackle various tasks both within the country and abroad, including deep-water dives, ecological cleaning of Lake Issyk-Kul, rescue operations on Lenin Peak, and assistance to earthquake victims in Turkey.
