Young Talents: A Schoolgirl from the At-Bashinsky District Aspires to Become a Flight Attendant and Revive the National Art of Komuz
A Turmush correspondent spoke with her.
“The komuz has opened up numerous opportunities and places for us. Each competition and performance has become an important experience for me. My team and I often took prize places, which strengthened my confidence. I realized how important it is to practice regularly on the komuz — this art brings me peace. In the future, I see myself on a big stage, striving to make the komuz a part of my profession and show the world its sound,” Khadija shares.
She actively participates in olympiads and online competitions, combining her studies with creativity.
In addition to her passion for music, Khadija has another cherished dream:
“I want to become a flight attendant. This profession attracts me with its responsibility, culture, and discipline. For a successful career as a flight attendant, high discipline, deep knowledge, accuracy, and the ability to communicate with people are essential. Since childhood, I have admired flight attendants — their uniforms, cultured speech, and polite attitude. At the moment, I speak Kyrgyz, Russian, and English fluently, and I am also studying other languages. If everything goes well, I plan to enter university and do everything possible to realize my dream,” she says.
Regarding the komuz, Khadija emphasized that this unique instrument was acquired thanks to her parents' support.
“My parents bought me a komuz and always support my endeavors. It is a sacred heritage of our ancestors. My grandfather, Kadyr Estebesov, was a famous musician and komuz player. I want to continue his work and develop our national art,” added the young talent.
