He has been studying at this school since 2021, starting from the 3rd grade, and is now preparing to graduate with a red diploma.
Turmush correspondent spoke with the young artist about his love for the komuz, his achievements, and his dreams for the future.
— How did you first become interested in playing the komuz?
— It all started at home. I listened to my father playing the komuz, and it sparked my interest. Later, I came to the music school, where I began to study notes. When my dad played traditional pieces, I also tried to repeat them and gradually fell in love with this art.
— How many melodies do you know already?
— At the moment, I have mastered more than 30 melodies. For the last 5 years, I have also been learning to play the kyl kyak, which is a two-stringed bowed instrument. I have achieved good results in my studies on this instrument as well, performing classical pieces.

— What are your achievements in music?
— I took 2nd place in a competition in the Toguz-Toro district. I also regularly participate in various competitions, and in one of the international online contests, I took 1st place in the "komuz" category. Musicians from Europe, Central Asia, and other countries participated in this competition.
— What grade are you in at your regular school?
— I am in the 7th grade at the Karybek uulu Akmataaly secondary school. My teacher at the music school is Nurzat Sydykova, and the deputy principal is Zaripa Tolobaeva.
— What are your plans for the future?
— I have many goals. I want to learn Arabic and get an education in this field, but I will also continue to develop my skills in playing the komuz. I dream of becoming a famous komuz player on the international stage and play the komuz both at home and for guests.
— Who inspires and supports you in your creativity?
— My parents play a huge role in my development. They always find time for me, buy stage costumes, and even a special komuz. When I am about to participate in competitions, they create all the necessary conditions and encourage me with phrases like, "If you want to win, play well."
— What is special about the komuz for you?
— The komuz is a unique and invaluable instrument of Kyrgyzstan. I play it so that its sound is not lost and forgotten. I love its sound, and although there are similar instruments in other countries, only on the komuz can unique techniques and virtuosic tricks be used.
