The State Committee for National Security conducts preventive measures to prevent citizens from being involved in banned organizations.
According to information from the State Committee for National Security, informational and explanatory campaigns are regularly organized among the population, including schoolchildren, college and university students, in collaboration with the National Anti-Drug and Psychotropic Substances Control Agency and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, to eliminate the possibility of youth being drawn into the activities of banned groups.
Since the beginning of the year, events have already been held in educational institutions such as the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I. Skryabin, the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razakov, and the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn.
Special attention is paid to increasing the level of religious literacy, critical perception of information, as well as strengthening traditional spiritual and moral values and interfaith harmony.
Work in this direction will continue in other educational institutions both in the capital and in the regions.
The Committee reports that insufficient awareness among citizens about the principles of traditional Islam often leads to individuals being drawn into the ideologies of various banned religious extremist organizations that promote radical religious and political ideas contrary to the secular principles of the state and the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Involvement is carried out through targeted propaganda, including the use of internet resources, social networks, and closed groups.
The State Committee for National Security also reminds that participation in banned organizations and the dissemination of their materials may entail legal responsibility in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
