The Bishkek city hall announced the temporary closure of the southern part of Deng Xiaoping Avenue due to necessary repair work. The closure will affect a section of 4.458 km, from Intergelpo Street to Kustanai Street.
The repair work will be organized in three phases. The first phase will start on February 24, when the section from Intergelpo Street to Kainazarov Street will be closed.
The work will begin earlier than planned due to the need to replace water pipes. During the repairs, it is also planned to dismantle the existing road surface, widen the roadway, install new curbs, and lay new asphalt.
According to the approved schedule, the opening of the road sections will be carried out in stages over the course of a month.
