The labor migration quota in Kyrgyzstan has been increased to 52,000
Aliyasov noted that last year the initial quota was set at 25,000, then it was increased to 42,000, and later to 52,000. If necessary, this limit can be revised.
“In 2025, we decided to exclude types of activities from the resolution, as this requires constant adjustments. The most relevant sectors remain construction and light industry,” he added.
Among those wishing to work in Kyrgyzstan, he mentioned citizens from China, India, Turkey, Pakistan, and other countries.
Additionally, Aliyasov reminded that starting from January 1, 2025, the procedure for obtaining permits for foreign citizens will change. All necessary documents will be submitted through a portal based on the "single window" principle as part of a pilot project. The distribution of the labor quota and the issuance of work permits will now be carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The pilot program will last until July 1, 2026, and if successfully completed, changes will be made to the country's legislation.
