
As part of the event, the municipality announced the creation of a road council, which will serve as a platform for interaction among specialists, residents, government structures, and relevant organizations to develop comprehensive solutions.
The Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, expressed gratitude to the participants for their initiative and willingness to engage in open discussion as he opened the meeting. He noted that solving the congestion problem is only possible through collaborative efforts. Among the priority tasks for the city administration are the repair of road infrastructure, the implementation of modern traffic light management systems, and other measures under the municipality's jurisdiction. Such meetings are planned to be held regularly.
During the analytical session and panel discussion, various measures to combat congestion were proposed. Public organizations, bloggers, representatives of transport companies, and independent experts contributed their suggestions.
The event also included the awarding of active citizens. Mirlan Zhukejev received a letter of gratitude for his assistance in snow removal, while Rashid Brown was recognized for his support in highlighting the work of the city administration.
Participants in the discussion included the Deputy Chairman of the Bishkek City Council, Zhyldyzbek Abdrayimov, the head of the Public Safety Management Department of the Bishkek City Police, Borborbek Tashmatov, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh and the city council, representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, law enforcement agencies, construction companies, as well as media, bloggers, and active residents of the city.
