In Kyrgyzstan, registration has opened for participation in the National Testing (ORT) of 2026, which has undergone some changes. What new things await applicants and what documents will they need?

Registration Process for the Test

Registration is conducted through the new online platform of the Center for Assessment in Education and Learning Methods (CAELM), available at https://testing.kg.

Graduates of the current year will be able to register through the mobile application "E-kündölük" (electronic diary).

For applicants from previous years, registration is done on the specialized CAELM website using the unified information system "Tündük" for authorization.

Instructions for registration can be found on the center's website.

Required Documents for Registration

The provided phone number will serve as a login not only for registration but also for participation in competitions for admission to universities in Kyrgyzstan.

Cost of Testing

This year, the cost of the state language test has increased from 200 soms to 470. The main test and each subject test will also cost the same.

Payment Methods

Starting from 2026, a unified QR code has been introduced, allowing payment for the test without the need to visit banks, from any electronic wallet.

Payment can also be made at "Eldik Bank" or through the "O!Bank" and "MegaPay" apps, after which a payment receipt must be presented to the person responsible for registration at the ORT or the receipt number and amount must be entered in the personal account.

Who Can Take the Test

Why Take the ORT?

Since 2012, testing has become mandatory for admission to any universities in the republic, regardless of their form of ownership.

Starting from 2026, admission to secondary vocational educational institutions will also be possible based on ORT results.

Choice of Subject Tests

To enroll in grant or contract-based education, it is mandatory to pass the main test and the test in the state language.

The results of the Kyrgyz language test will not affect admission results; however, without it, the ORT certificate will not be issued.

Additionally, some faculties require subject tests in physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, history, English, Kyrgyz, and Russian languages and literature.

Any number of subjects can be chosen, but the principle "the more, the better" does not apply here.

Typically, one subject test for the chosen specialty is sufficient.

For medical universities, two subjects must be passed — chemistry and biology.
There are specialties that require additional tests conducted by universities, such as creative tests for architects or physical education for future law enforcement officers.

Having a profile subject test gives the applicant an advantage when applying for the corresponding fields.

Who is Exempt from the ORT?

ORT results are not required for admission to certain specialties in cultural and artistic universities, as well as for some areas in physical culture and sports.

Who Will Not Be Allowed to Take the Test?

Applicants without identity documents and registration for the ORT will not be admitted.

If an 11th-grade student (or college graduate) is not yet 16 years old and does not have a passport, a school certificate with a photograph can be used as identification.

The certificate must be signed by the director and have the school seal.

Last year, there were cases where applicants attempted to take the test with gadgets or take it for others. In such cases, participants are disqualified, and their results are annulled.

When Will the Testing Take Place?

Registration for the ORT will be open until April 2, with the testing scheduled from May 16 to 23.

Applicants outside Kyrgyzstan must register one day before the start of testing. All necessary documents must be present.

Awards for the Best Participants

Every year, an award ceremony is held for applicants who have shown high results in the National Testing. The top 50 participants (sometimes more in case of tied scores) receive gold certificates, allowing them to enroll without competition in any state university in the budget department.

ORT participants who score the minimum threshold points will be able to participate in the competition for admission to universities. In 2026, the threshold points are not planned to be raised, keeping them at the level of the previous year.
