The city hall claims that public transport operates until 1 AM
At a meeting with citizens, the director of the Department of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure Development of Bishkek, Ulanbek Beishenbaev, announced the possible launch of night bus routes with special tariffs.
This initiative was a response to residents' complaints that public transport stops operating too early.
According to Beishenbaev, most bus drivers work until 1 AM, although some routes may finish earlier. He also noted that the department will explore the possibility of introducing night services with a new tariff.
In addition, Ulanbek Beishenbaev mentioned plans for the "optimization" of bus routes in the capital, which, in his opinion, may lead to an increase in the number of transfers for passengers on their way to their final destination.
