At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 19, Deputy Gulnara Baatyrova mentioned that the presented draft law on state awards completely lacks titles for medical workers. She noted that previously, the existing law included two awards for the healthcare sector: "Honored Doctor" and "Honored Healthcare Worker."

Baatyrova emphasized that there are over 80,000 medical workers in the republic, more than 30,000 of whom are doctors. "Doctors face numerous reviews from patients, both positive and negative, but their calling is to save lives. These titles were an important incentive for them," she added, supporting the concept of the draft law while demanding amendments regarding healthcare before the second reading.

For his part, Bayetov stated that the issue would be discussed. However, he reminded that all departmental awards remain, and questions about honorary titles are proposed to be transferred to the government's jurisdiction.

He also noted that the draft law lacks awards for a number of professions, such as "Honored Energy Worker" or "Honored Worker of the Police." "All proposals will be considered before the second reading," Bayetov assured.
