“During fasting, a Muslim protects his eyes from the forbidden, his ears from the illicit, and his tongue from lies.”
Today marks the beginning of the sacred month of Orozo, and in this regard, the head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Abdulahaziz Zakirov, has addressed his people.
He congratulated all Muslims, the Kyrgyz people, and humanity on the start of this significant month.
According to the Mufti, fasting serves as a constant reminder of the Almighty Allah, encouraging people to take responsibility. It purifies the soul, fosters inner harmony and humility, inspires good deeds, and strengthens piety.
“During fasting, a Muslim protects his eyes from the forbidden, his ears from the illicit, and his tongue from lies. He avoids forbidden food, bad deeds, and unworthy places, realizing that Allah sees and knows everything,” Zakirov noted.
The head of the Spiritual Administration also reminded of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, which states that those who fast during Ramadan with sincere faith and hope for Allah's blessings will have their previous sins forgiven, provided they perform night prayers and spend the Night of Decree in worship. He expressed hope that the fasting of all who observe Orozo will be accepted.
