Without Intermediaries. They Intend to Save 410 Million Som on Medicine Purchases
According to information from the department's press service, in 2026, part of the procurement will be carried out through mechanisms proposed by organizations within the UN system. It is planned to purchase about 30 types of medicines and medical devices directly from manufacturers.
The goal of this new model is to eliminate intermediaries, ensure that products meet international quality standards, including prequalification by the World Health Organization, and to create competitive pricing conditions by participating in global procurement mechanisms.
Currently, preparations are underway for signing contracts. Preliminary estimates suggest that the implementation of this model will save about 410 million soms compared to 2025.
The procurement policy for 2026 will focus on reducing prices for medicines, ensuring their quality and stability of supply, as well as improving the efficiency of budgetary resource use.
