According to a Turmush correspondent, the competition, titled "Komuz kүüsü — muundardyn murasy" ("The Melody of the Komuz — The Heritage of Generations"), was organized for high school students. Kunduz Karagulova, the head of the komuz club at the school, noted that participants performed both classical works by renowned masters (zalkar kүү) and modern instrumental compositions (aidama kүү).
Among the winners:
The grand prize went to Ainazyk Alybekova;
1st place was awarded to Aytumar Baltabaeva;
2nd place was shared by Ademi Ömürzakova and Ayana Zhanibekova;
3rd place was awarded to Nurak Makilov and Aruuzat Tabrisova.
After the competition, the winners were presented with valuable prizes and diplomas.
