At a meeting with archaeologists led by Mirbek Mambetaliev, the Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, issues related to the quality execution of archaeological research and the protection of historical and cultural heritage amidst active construction were discussed.

The Minister emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts to expedite research, especially in the context of increasing construction activities, and proposed selecting one district from each region for comprehensive studies.

Archaeologists noted that support from government structures, including the timely provision of maps and documentation on land issues, is critically important.

Kunbolot Akmatov, an archaeologist, reported that in 2025, 50,000 hectares in the Manas district of the Talas region were studied, resulting in the identification of over 3,000 new cultural heritage sites.

In conclusion, the Minister highlighted the need to continue work in this direction this year, selecting one district from each of the seven regions.
