On February 17, a letter indicating the clemency was received at the colony located in the village of Petrovka, which allowed for Azhiev's release on the same day.
Recall that Azhiev was detained in June 2023 on charges of creating webcam studios. He attempted to leave the country, heading to the UAE via Uzbekistan, but was detained at the border. E. A., who contacted the GKNB, also reported extortion, claiming that he worked as an operator for webcam studios and became a victim of psychological pressure from an administrator who threatened him and demanded $2,000.
Subsequently, the investigative judge of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek placed a lien on Azhiev's property, ordering the confiscation of his apartments, house, and cars, with a total value of 262 million soms.
The court sentenced Azhiev to 9 years of imprisonment.
