According to a recent statement by UN experts, the materials collected in the so-called "Epstein dossier" contain serious evidence of mass sexual violence, human trafficking, and the exploitation of women and girls. These facts raise deep concerns and indicate the possible existence of a transnational criminal organization.

In their findings, specialists noted that the presented data may indicate actions that fall under the definition of crimes against humanity. This includes crimes such as sexual slavery, enforced disappearances, torture, and femicide.

“These acts occurred in an atmosphere of racism, corruption, and misogyny, where women and girls from various corners of the world were subjected to commercialization,” the report states.

In accordance with international criminal law, crimes against humanity can include acts such as rape, forced prostitution, and human trafficking if they are carried out as part of a widespread or systematic attack against a civilian population. The patterns of behavior identified in the "Epstein dossier" meet these criteria and require accountability at both national and international courts.

The disclosure of these materials became possible due to the transparency law signed on November 19, 2025. On January 30, 2026, the U.S. Department of Justice presented over 3 million pages of documents, 2,000 video recordings, and 180,000 images.

Experts also noted serious errors in data handling that led to the leakage of confidential information about victims, which could cause them further harm. At present, only one of Jeffrey Epstein's closest associates is under investigation.

Specialists emphasized the importance of developing urgent measures for handling sensitive materials to prevent re-traumatization of victims. “Errors in the disclosure process highlight the need for victim-centered procedures,” they noted.

The failure to protect confidentiality can lead to the persecution and stigmatization of women, while insufficient investigations leave many in a state of re-trauma. UN experts urged U.S. authorities to correct the mistakes made, ensure full disclosure of information about the criminal network, guarantee compensation for victims, and put an end to impunity. It was also emphasized that statutes of limitations for serious crimes related to Jeffrey Epstein's activities should be abolished.
