In Karakol, in the "Brick" microdistrict, residents are facing a serious problem — drinking water has not been supplied for almost a day, reports our regional correspondent.

Local residents are appealing to the authorities for urgent restoration of water supply, as well as for water delivery until the problem is resolved.

According to residents, the water shutdown occurred on February 16 at 3:00 PM, and there have been no changes since then.

Specialists from the Karakol City Water Utility are already on-site working to restore water supply.

“The water supply system in the microdistrict was built back in 1955. Currently, air has accumulated in the pipes. Workers checked the manholes and eliminated airlocks until 3:00 AM. Water is already being supplied to the 'Altyn Kazyq' area, which neighbors the microdistrict. We hope to restore water supply in 'Brick' by evening,” representatives of the water utility report.

Additionally, to alleviate the situation, a 10-cubic meter water truck is delivering clean water to residents of the area.
