On February 15, the Public Charitable Fund Help the Children - SKD held an event titled “Your Contribution Changes Lives!” in the oncology department of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health. This event was timed to coincide with the International Day of Childhood Cancer.
According to the fund, on this day, assistance totaling 740,000 som was provided to young patients in the oncology and hematology department:
* Important medications were purchased at the hospital's request for a total of 235,327 som;
* 3 air conditioners were installed;
* 3 oxygen concentrators were acquired;
* 7 port systems were purchased for a total of 213,468 som;
* Blood products and blood itself were paid for, totaling 50,000 som;
* 28 paintings were presented as part of the project “The World in the Palms Through the Eyes of Children.”
The main goal of the event was to draw public attention to the problems of pediatric oncology and to provide care, love, and support to children in need of assistance.
Additionally, the benefactors donated diapers, toys, clothing, and books to support children and their families during this difficult time. The fund expressed special gratitude to the students and administration of the educational and upbringing complex “ABC School,” who also participated in the event and brought books for pediatric oncology, thus enriching the library for young patients.
“Today we want to remind society that pediatric oncology is a problem that can only be solved through joint efforts. Every small gift, every smile, and every bit of help brings us closer to our common goal — to make treatment accessible and improve the lives of our children,” noted the fund's president, Elena Koneva.
Thus, the event “Your Contribution Changes Lives!” is not only assistance but also a symbol of hope and support for every child facing illness. The fund expresses sincere gratitude to everyone who responded to the call for help.
