According to the ministry's information, the "Social Contract" program provides an opportunity to receive 150,000 soms on a grant basis for starting a small business. This year, 13,334 families will be able to participate in the program.
Families with low income are eligible for funding, either those who have a social passport or receive the "household assistance" benefit. It is also important for the family to have labor and property potential, as well as a business plan that corresponds to real conditions.
Priority in obtaining a social contract will be given to families intending to implement projects in the field of ecology, as well as within the framework of the "One Village - One Product" initiative. Additionally, special attention will be paid to persons with disabilities and families with viable business plans.
The final decision on concluding a social contract is made by a temporary commission established by the local government administration. In cities, such decisions are made by social affairs commissions that operate under the mayor's office and include representatives of local authorities, councils, the business community, and public organizations, acting under the direction of local administration heads and territorial departments of the Ministry of Labor.
