The president noted that the corresponding instruction was given to the government last year.
“In February of last year, I initiated an important project, gathering the prime minister and ministers. I instructed to build student dormitories in each region and to start the rotation of students from September 1, 2026, who study on budget quotas,” he said.
Currently, 10,000 budget places have been allocated for students in Kyrgyzstan, of which 5,000 are intended for applicants from the south, and 5,000 for those from the north.
“Students from the north will study in the south, and students from the south will study in the north. Therefore, I am building dormitories in seven regions,” the president added. However, this year the implementation of the plan did not take place and is postponed to September next year,” Japarov concluded.
