According to the agency, there have been no recorded cases of foot-and-mouth disease in the country, and the epizootic situation remains under control and stable.
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Agricultural Policy, Ecology, and Environmental Protection held last week, Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev noted that the epizootic situation in Kyrgyzstan remains stable despite cases of foot-and-mouth disease in other countries. He added that headquarters have been established in each district of the republic and veterinary control has been strengthened, including control at the state border.
