The epizootic situation in Kyrgyzstan remains stable against the backdrop of cases of foot-and-mouth disease.
Torobaev emphasized that special headquarters have been established in every region of the country and control has been strengthened, especially at the borders.
Deputy Ilimbek Kubanychbekov pointed out that due to outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Belarus have temporarily suspended the export of livestock. As a result, entrepreneurs are looking for ways to re-export livestock from China to Uzbekistan; however, the transit route remains closed at this time, which raises additional questions for the parliamentarian.
Head of the Veterinary Service Adilet Sotovaldiyev added that the situation with foot-and-mouth disease in China remains extremely tense. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan is unable to accept livestock from China due to the requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Bakyt Torobaev also noted that the health of the population and animals is a priority, and the Kyrgyz Republic cannot take risks for minor benefits.
