"She showed herself." Deputies are dissatisfied with the behavior of Deputy Minister of Labor Ainura Orozbaeva.
The agenda included amendments to labor legislation, and Orozbaeva was appointed as the reporter. In her absence, a representative of the ministry informed the deputies about the delay of the deputy minister and suggested moving on to the next issue.
Toktobubu Ashimbaeva, the chairwoman of the committee, expressed her dissatisfaction with the official's behavior.
“This is not the first case. Previously, she either did not show up at all or delegated another employee. Such an attitude towards a meeting where important issues are discussed is unacceptable. The deputy minister is obliged to participate in discussions related to her area of responsibility. This is disrespectful to the Jogorku Kenesh,” Ashimbaeva noted.
Gulai Mashrapova, a deputy, also condemned Orozbaeva's actions.
“For me, the situation that occurred today is unacceptable. I cannot say that she grossly ignored the Jogorku Kenesh, but her actions speak for themselves. The bill being considered today is of great importance. We will postpone it to the next meeting; however, the deputy minister must be held accountable for such behavior,” the deputy stated.
As a result, the issue was postponed until the next meeting, and a request regarding Orozbaeva's accountability will be sent to the Cabinet of Ministers.
