The acceptance of applications for the international competition "Media-Nowruz 2025" has come to an end. According to information from the organizing committee, over 40 materials were submitted for the competition by journalists and media organizations from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
This competition has generated significant interest among representatives of the journalistic and scientific communities in the region. Among the participants, notable media outlets include "Russian Newspaper," "Word of Kyrgyzstan," the TV channel "Katun 24," Sputnik Kyrgyzstan, "Evening Bishkek," and the news agency "Kabar," as well as specialized scientific institutes and universities.
The project is being implemented by the Scientific and Educational Center for Altaic Studies and Turkology "Great Altai" at Altai State University and aims to develop cooperation in the fields of science and media discussions in the Eurasian space.
The competition is held in two nominations. The first, "Expeditions of the Great Altai," is dedicated to the study and popularization of the archaeological and ethnographic heritage of the region. The second nomination, "Our Common Great Victory!," is timed to the 80th anniversary of Victory Day and aims to preserve historical memory.
The results of the competition will be announced after March 20, in anticipation of the celebration of Nowruz. Participants will receive certificates from the organizers, and winners will be awarded special prizes for their contribution to the development of scientific and media cooperation between Russia and Central Asia.
