Good News. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan Predicts an Early Spring
He noted that the current winter has been quite dry for the Chui region and the capital, where there has been little snowfall. However, significant precipitation has been observed in some other regions of the country.
In connection with the warming and snowmelt, the specialist warned about the risks of mudflows and landslide activation. The Department of Monitoring and Forecasting of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has already notified all its divisions about potential threats, Mambetov added.
According to the agency, there are about 4,000 areas in Kyrgyzstan that may be dangerous in terms of landslides, and approximately 4,000 families live in these territories.
Additionally, Azamat Mambetov reminded that the country is currently experiencing a cycle of low water levels.
