The solemn event was attended by figures such as B. Osmonov, head of the Ton district state administration, district prosecutor K. Karimov, head of the Ton district internal affairs department Sh. Ilimgaziev, chairman of the veterans' council T. Alchikeev, as well as heads of rural administrations, leaders of district institutions, veterans of the Afghan war, local activists, and schoolchildren.
During the event, tribute was paid to the memory of the fallen soldiers, honoring their courage and bravery displayed in the defense of the Motherland.
The Akim of the Ton district delivered a speech in which he expressed sincere gratitude to the participants of the Afghan war, wished them health and long life, and presented them with awards from the district state administration.
At the conclusion of the event, a memorial lunch was organized for 51 veterans and their spouses, as well as for the widows of the fallen soldiers.
