This information was announced by the press service of the Traffic Safety Department of the Osh region's Internal Affairs Directorate.
According to the agency's data, the new requirement is the result of amendments made by the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic dated February 15, 2023, No. 27, "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts in the Field of Road Safety." This law includes a provision added to Article 37, Part 1 of the Code of Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Among the gross violations that may serve as grounds for retaking the exam are:
- driving a vehicle without state registration plates;
- ignoring a lawful requirement to stop;
- exceeding the speed limit by more than 40 km/h and 60 km/h;
- failing to yield to vehicles with activated special signals;
- driving in the opposite lane while overtaking or violating maneuvering rules;
- actions that caused damage to road objects or other property;
- traffic accidents causing harm to health;
- allowing individuals who are intoxicated or without a license to operate a vehicle.
The agency emphasized that the introduction of this measure is aimed at reducing the number of traffic accidents and increasing driver responsibility.
