In Russia, a neural network learned to swear after a month of communicating with housing and utilities clients

An interesting situation has been recorded in Russia, where a neural network designed for interaction with clients of the housing and utilities sector acquired skills in using profanity within just a month of operation. Mikhail Viktorov, president of the National Association of Organizations Engaged in Information Modeling, reported that developers had to retrain the system after it began using inappropriate language.

“The situation is quite amusing. The neural network learns based on interactions, and already in the first month, developers noticed that it started to curse. As the saying goes: you become like those you associate with. Therefore, this problem had to be addressed. Nevertheless, this indicates that the system is actively working with our citizens,” he noted.
