As reported to the Turmush correspondent by the rural administration, veterans who served in Afghanistan, employees of the rural administration, the head of the elders' court, and the chairman of the village council were present at the event.
“With great respect, we remembered the heroism of the internationalist soldiers. In honor of the fallen and departed heroes, a memorial prayer was read,” the organizers noted.
In the Sokuluk district, there are 141 veterans of the Afghan war, of which 24 are residents of the rural municipality of Sary-Ozon.
