On the radio "Birinchi Radio," cardiothoracic surgeon Nurlan Koshoybek uulu shared recommendations on what to do in case of a heart attack before the ambulance arrives.

The specialist emphasized the importance of knowing the main symptoms of cardiovascular diseases that require immediate medical attention. These can include burning sensations, pain that may radiate to the arm, jaw, or between the shoulder blades, as well as shortness of breath during physical exertion. Such symptoms, even if they are brief, should raise concern and prompt a visit to the doctor.

Nurlan Koshoybek uulu noted that before the arrival of medical personnel, one should stop physical activity and try to remain calm. If there is aspirin available at home, it can be taken, but it is better to refrain from other medications. It is also important to ensure access to fresh air and wait for the doctors to arrive.

Upon the arrival of medical staff, they will conduct necessary laboratory tests, perform an electrocardiogram, and an echocardiogram, as well as other diagnostics.

A key moment during a heart attack or coronary vessel damage is the so-called "golden hour," when the chances of saving a life and improving the patient's quality of life can be significantly increased.

The doctor also reminded that cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of mortality both in Kyrgyzstan and worldwide.

The main factor contributing to this is lifestyle. Smoking, lack of physical activity, poor nutrition, frequent consumption of fast food, stress, high blood pressure, and cholesterol levels—all of these lead to the premature development of cardiovascular diseases, noted Nurlan Koshoybek uulu. He added that more and more patients aged 35-40 are seeking help, with serious heart problems being identified.
