The Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan, Zhaslan Madiyev, announced the country's plans to provide internet access to neighboring states using the Starlink satellite network located on the territory of the republic. This statement was part of his speech at a recent government meeting.

This year, Kazakhstan intends to start transmitting internet traffic to Tajikistan, and in the future, expand this practice to Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan, using Starlink gateway stations that will be built in the country. This step will allow broadcasting the signal beyond Kazakhstan and strengthen its status as a leader in digital connectivity in the region.

On the domestic front, digitalization continues: in 2023, 1,900 villages will gain access to fiber-optic networks, and by next year, internet coverage will exceed 90%. The creation of internet infrastructure for all republican roads is also planned.

It is worth noting that it was recently announced that the Starlink network has already begun providing high-speed internet across Tajikistan.
