In his speech, Madiyev emphasized that the use of digital infrastructure will allow Kazakhstan to strengthen its position as a leader in regional digital integration. Satellite internet will be available to neighboring countries through gateway stations built on Kazakh soil. For example, this year traffic will be directed to Tajikistan, and in the future, connections to Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan are expected. Additionally, Uzbekistan is already offering offtake contracts via the Trans-Caspian fiber-optic communication line.

The minister also reported that this year, 1,900 villages in Kazakhstan will gain access to fiber-optic internet, and by next year, this figure will rise to over 90%. All republican roads will be equipped with the necessary communication infrastructure, and internet access will be available on the main routes of passenger transport by Kazakhstan Railways and on board Kazakh airlines.

In October of last year, Madiyev mentioned that by 2027, the deployment of a 5G network is planned in 20 cities, covering 60% to 75% of the population. By that time, 100% internet coverage should also be ensured, with connection speeds exceeding 100 megabits per second. Optical communication lines are expected to cover 90% of rural settlements.

Furthermore, in 2023, the country's president instructed the government to complete the full implementation of the 5G network not by 2027, but by the end of 2025.
