Traffic for heavy vehicles is temporarily restricted at the Too-Ashuu pass due to snowfall

The Ministry of Transport urges drivers to exercise caution on mountain roads and to adhere to traffic rules.

Due to deteriorating weather conditions and heavy snowfall in most regions of Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Transport and Communications has announced temporary restrictions for freight transport at the Too-Ashuu pass.

According to information from the department, as of February 11 at 03:40, restrictions for heavy vehicles were introduced on the Bishkek—Osh highway, and as of 08:30, they remain in effect.

The road services "Kyrgyzavtozhol-North" and "Kyrgyzavtozhol-South" are working around the clock to clear the roads and apply sand-salt mixtures on the routes.

On the Suusamyr—Talas—Taraz highway, in the area of the Otmok pass, it is also snowing; however, traffic there remains free.

The Ministry of Transport urges drivers to avoid entering the oncoming lane, strictly adhere to traffic rules, and carry necessary winter equipment.
